If I had $1,000,000

I'd buy you a fur coat. But not a real fur coat, that's cruel.

I was listening to this song in the car today and started thinking about what I would REALLY do if I had $1,000,000 in my hand right now...

$350,000: $50,000 each into college accounts for Sam, my 9 year old sister, and Violet's kids Kiki, Alex & the baby and my 'sisters' Maggie & Lucy (2 yrs old & 6 months old)

$103,000 into savings

$50,000 to my Mom & her husband toward their mortgage

$50,000 to my Stepdad & his wife toward their mortgage

$100,000 to my Stepmom toward her mortgage or repairs on the house to ready it for selling

$50,000 to my friend Violet & her husband toward their mortgage

$50,000 to pay off debt (wouldn't have to file for bankruptcy anymore... haha)

$50,000 into a special savings as a college fund in case we have another kid.

$30,000 to pay off my sister's student loans

$20,000 to pay last year's taxes

$10,000 $5,000 each spending money to Justin & I

$10,000 to my cousin Emmy to help with her student loans

$10,000 towards renovations on my Father-In-Law's house where we'll be moving eventually

$5,000 to my sister for her savings

$5,000 to Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church

$2000 to medical bills

$2000 to The Pickford Cinema (our local independant theater)

$1000 to the Bellingham Public Library

$1000 to the Bellingham Children's Museum

$1000 to Whatcom County Crisis Services

Ah, isn't it nice to dream? What are some things YOU would do with a cool million?

I'd take my girls on a trip around the world, make sure their schooling was completely paid for, set them up a trust and then take myself back to school. And give the rest to my grandparents. :)
